Sweetener Options

ECBlend Sweetener Options explained
There are 4 levels to our Sweetener Option:
Note: 'No Option' for 'Add Sweetener': means there is sweetener already in the recipe.
'Add' Sweetener means there is no sweetener in the recipe. (i.e. coffees).  Choose this to Add Sweetener.  (The amount of sweetener added depends on the recipe.)
'Enhanced' Sweetener means we add 1.5x the amount based on the recipe.  Choose this if you like nice sweet juice that is not overly sweet.
'Double' Sweetener means we add 2x the amount based on the recipe.  Choose this if you like your juices extra sweet.

Ethyl Maltol: Ethyl maltol is a flavor enhancer that is safe, non-toxic, and highly used. Features safety, innocuity, wide application, good effect and little dosage. It is used as a flavor agent in tobacco, food, beverages, essence, wine, chocolates, candy, desserts, soda, ice cream, daily-use cosmetics and more. Since Ethyl Maltol is characterized with little dosage and good effect, its general added amount is about 0.1 to 0.5 ‰. Chemical Formula: C7H8O3 Other names:2-Ethyl-3-hydroxy-4-pyranone.

Layman's explanation: Ethyl maltol was discovered in the 1970's. Ethyl maltol was originally isolated from larch tree bark and is produced through fermentation-organic synthesis. Ethyl maltol occurs naturally in cereal, bread crust, coffee, and cocoa. This substance is also used as a flavor enhancer because it tends to mask bad tasting chemicals, and heightens richness and creaminess. The compound has been employed as a flavor enhancer in wine, chocolate, vanilla, fruit flavored drinks, pastries, candy, tobacco, cosmetics, and medicines.
